When my husband, Luis,
saw his first Samoyed in the early 80s, he
decided at once that this was his breed. At that
time, he was single, lived alone and travelled a
lot due to his job: no chance then to have a
dog. Several years later, we married, I moved to
Madrid to live with him and we rented a small
apartment. In a neighbouring flat there was a
splendid male Samoyed we could admire resting
quiet and calm in the balcony or when we met him
in the street. It was not strange that my
husband's enthusiasm about Samoyeds rubbed off
on me. We went to dog shows to watch at Sammies,
read books on the breed, and waited for our
first house with garden to be finished. Finally,
we moved in, and soon our first Sam, Ciro,
entered our lives.
Since 1996, we live in
a small village near to Valencia, not far away
from the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by
orange orchards. A few years ago, we decided to
start a small kennel and try to do our bit to
improve the declining scenario of the breed in
Spain.
Now as before, our Sams are
our pets, that is: they are full members of our
family and live with us in our house. We must
admit that sometimes it is not easy,
particularly when they are puppies. But in the
long run, what we get from these marvellous,
intelligent and noble dogs is
priceless.
We will thank here all the
Samoyed fanciers who have helped us with their
advices, in special our friend Fernando
Sánchez, who owned for many years together with
Jesús García Bravo the Garcibravo kennel, and
our friend Nadčge Dubois for her invaluable help
in launching this site.
Please
enter our site and enjoy some beautiful photos
of our Samoyeds. We hope your visit will stir up
your interest in this splendid breed if you are
not already an enthusiast of it.
